In TORNADO ALLEY 3D, join Storm Chasers star Sean Casey and become part of his ambitious project to film the birth of one of nature’s most violent storms.  Moviegoers will  “climb inside”  the VORTEX-2 Tornado Intercept Vehicle (TIV) as researchers try to unravel the origins and evolution of twisters in America’s Midwest—the severe weather capital of the world.  Narrated by Bill Paxton.

RESCUE 3D

RESCUE 3D provides an insider’s view of civilian and military responses to severe humanitarian crises.  Starting with the Berlin airlift in 1948, this inspiring film takes you up to the present as rescuers respond to the Haiti earthquake, one of the deadliest ever recorded in the Western Hemisphere.  Watch as these highly-trained first responders from the Nevada National Guard and Canadian Forces Marine Command put their lives on the line to answer the call when disaster strikes.

CONQUEST OF EVEREST: The Wildest Dream

In CONQUEST OF EVEREST: THE WILDEST DREAM, gear up with Everest climber Conrad Anker to retrace the route taken in 1924 by George Mallory, whose goal was to be the first to summit the world’s tallest mountain with partner Sandy Irvine “because it’s there.”  But did they succeed?  Mallory and Irvine were last seen just 800 feet from their goal when they disappeared into the mist.  Seventy-five years later, it was Anker who found Mallory’s body.  This powerful 90-minute film explores the man behind the Mallory legend and Anker’s 2007 quest to honor one of the world’s greatest explorers.  Narrated by Liam Neeson.

Journey back to 1804.  You’re a part of Lewis and Clark and the Corps of Discovery as they set off from St. Louis to explore the vast western lands bought by President Thomas Jefferson in the Louisiana Purchase a year earlier.  Come along on LEWIS & CLARK: GREAT JOURNEY WEST as they face wild animals, cold and near-starvation before meeting the Native American woman Sacajawea, who guides their epic journey to completion.  Narrated by Jeff Bridges.

Tickets are available online at www.thehenryford.org/imax, or by phone through The Henry Ford Call Center (open 7 days a week, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm) 313-982-6001.  Tickets can be mailed when reservations are made 2 weeks or more in advance.  Tickets purchased less than 2 weeks in advance will be held at IMAX Will Call. 

Please park in the IMAX Theater lot on the west side of Henry Ford Museum.  Parking is always FREE for IMAX-only guests.

The Henry Ford is located in Dearborn, Michigan on the corner of Village Road and Oakwood Boulevard, just west of the Southfield Freeway (M-39) and south of Michigan Avenue (US-12).

From the East or West via I-94:
Take I-94 to the Oakwood Boulevard exit; go north on Oakwood. The Henry Ford is 2.5 miles from the exit on the corner of Village Road and Oakwood Boulevard.
From the South via I-75:
Exit to northbound Southfield Freeway (M-39); drive 4.1 miles to Oakwood Boulevard (Exit 4). Left on Oakwood and drive 1.8 miles.
From the North via Southfield Road (or I-96):
Take Southfield Freeway (M-39) south 4.5 miles past I-96 and exit at Michigan avenue (Exit 6). Continue on the Southfield service drive (veer left) for .5 mile. At the first stoplight, turn right onto Village Road (through the iron gates) and drive .75 mile.
