The Henry Ford Mission
The Henry Ford provides unique educational experiences based on authentic objects, stories, and lives from America's traditions of ingenuity, resourcefulness and innovation. Our purpose is to inspire people to learn from these traditions to help shape a better future.

The Henry Ford is located in Dearborn on the western edge of the city of Detroit, about 20 minutes from the Detroit Metropolitan Airport and convenient to major Interstates I-94 and I-96.  Dearborn, a city of 100,000, is home to the Ford Motor Co., the University of Michigan Dearborn, Henry Ford’s Fair Lane Estate, the Automotive Hall of Fame, and the new Arab American National Museum.

The Detroit Metropolitan area is home to some 3.6 million people and includes such cultural highlights as the Detroit Institute of Arts, Cranbrook Educational Community, Detroit Science Center, Detroit Historical Museum, and the Zekelman Family Holocaust Memorial Center.  Evenings offer Detroit Tigers baseball, fine  restaurants ranging from Arab American to soul food to Vietnamese, downtown casinos, or a trip across the Ambassador Bridge to Windsor, Canada. The weather during summer months is warm and sometimes wet, averaging lows in the 50s and highs in the mid-80s with a monthly average rainfall of 4”.

The City of Dearborn is surrounded by towns with other dining facilities.  For more information on specialty Dearborn or Detroit dining, please check with your hotel guest service or follow these links:
