The Jenny was never used in combat, / and after the war, the surplus aircraft were converted for civilian / use. Pilots bought the biplanes for as little as $300 and barnstormed / the country, thrilling crowds of spectators at air shows. The JN-4D / boasted an eight-cylinder engine and flew at speeds up to 75 mph. / Jennies also delivered U.S. airmail beginning in 1918. / This Keepsake Ornament is one of a series highlighting historic / aircraft.
