Artifact Overview
At the turn of the 20th century, local bicycle clubs organized 100-mile day trips for their members. Riders who completed these sanctioned "century runs" could receive medals like these. This grouping, attached to a League of American Wheelmen button, shows that the cyclist made seventeen 100-mile trips.
