Corliss Steam Engine Demonstration
Our 1859 Corliss steam engine is the only engine built by the Corliss Steam Engine Company during inventor George Corliss’s lifetime to have survived. Generating 300 horsepower, it served more than 60 years as the central source of power for some dozen independent workshops in Providence. Watch it in motion during our special demonstrations.
