Tinker. Hack. Invent.
It’s a weekly celebration of American ingenuity. We call it Tinker. Hack. Invent. and it takes place every Saturday. Join our Tinker Task Force and have a blast trying your hand at all sorts of things. Americans are famous for their ingenuity and resourcefulness, for their eagerness to improve and explore new ideas. This is your chance to learn firsthand how that spirit is alive and well today. Come explore your own ingenuity. Try your hand at something new, something different. The activities change month to month. Hands-on. How-to, DIY, science and more! The only limitation is your imagination. And it’s free with museum admission or membership.
Each month we’ll offer a new project! Soldering, electrical circuits, and crazy concoctions are just a few of our themes. So you can return month after month for more tinkering fun!
*Some supply fees may apply.
*Activities are subject to change.
Engage Your Engineering Spirit
Tinker. Hack. Invent. Saturday is partnering with MDOT this month to challenge all young makers to build a better bridge! We’ll supply the materials as you tinker to make the strongest, the longest, or even the most unusual-looking bridge that your imagination can create. The Tinker Task Force will measure, test, and photograph your creation to display on our large-screen monitor on the remaining Saturdays in August.
