- Princess Telephone, Model 701B, 1959-1963 - The Princess telephone was designed by Henry Dreyfuss in 1959. It's a great example of the transition of the telephone from a strictly utilitarian device to a fashionable home accessory for middle class America. Compact and featuring a backlit dial, it was originally marketed to women as a bedroom phone; the slogan was, "It's little...It's lovely...It lights." It stayed in production from 1959-1994.

- Hoover "Model 150" Vacuum Cleaner, 1936-1939 - Industrial design pioneer Henry Dreyfuss created Hoover's 1936 Model 150 upright vacuum cleaner. It had a magnesium chassis and a Bakelite plastic hood, making it more lightweight. Henry Dreyfuss was a leading proponent of streamlined design--a modern, rounded, aerodynamic form which increasingly shaped 1930s household appliance design. Dreyfuss stressed "designing for people"--developing products that not only looked good, but also worked well.

- Sentinel Wafer Electric Clock, 1940 - Henry Dreyfuss is remembered for his telephone designs for A.T. & T. This clock, though, is a seminal object in his career. Created at roughly the same time as his early telephones, it marks his maturing as a designer in terms of simple, approachable form. It foreshadows his later design for the ubiquitous Honeywell round thermostat of 1953.

- John Deere Model B Tractor, 1941 - Deere & Company released the streamlined Model B, styled by industrial designer, Henry Dreyfuss, in late 1938. Farmers used the four-gear forward tractor to pull a two-bottom plow, cultivate corn or soybeans, power a mounted corn picker, or run a corn sheller off the belt-drive. The rounded hood and grill and more expensive rubber-tire option meant the tractor looked as good as it performed.
