- Test Pressing of the Voices of Jep Bisbee and His Family, 1923 - Henry Ford loved fiddlers--and 80-year-old Jep Bisbee was a favorite. In 1923, Ford sent the northern Michigan fiddler to Thomas Edison's New Jersey laboratory to record his playing. Bisbee's wife Sarah, son Earl, and daughter Beulah accompanied him. They can be heard--if indistinctly--reading text on this informal recording, probably done as a "souvenir" of their visit.
