She did not pilot the plane but rode as a passenger with pilot Wilmer Stultz and mechanic Louis Gordon. The trio flew in a Fokker F.VII Tri-Motor named <EM>Friendship</EM>. Four years later, Earhart crossed the Atlantic again -- this time as pilot on a solo flight.
