- Harvey Firestone and Henry Ford at Firestone Farm, Columbiana County, Ohio, 1918 - Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone went on several camping trips as "vagabonds," a group that also included Thomas Edison and naturalist John Burroughs. In August 1918, Ford met Firestone at his old homestead near Columbiana, Ohio, (now in Greenfield Village) before joining Edison and Burroughs in Pittsburgh. The foursome then traveled through Appalachian Mountains for the next couple weeks.

- "In Nature's Laboratory : Commemorating Our Vacation Trip of 1916, August 28th to September 9th" - The Vagabonds -- Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and John Burroughs -- enjoyed their annual camping trips taken from 1916 to 1924. Burroughs chronicled the group's 1916 journey in the elaborate scrapbook <em>In Nature's Laboratory</em>. Burroughs, Edison, and Firestone traveled through the Adirondack Mountains and Vermont. Ford couldn't make the trip that year.

Firestone Farm in Greenfield Village," June 29, 1985 - In 1983, the Firestone family donated their circa 1828 Columbiana County, Ohio, farmstead to Greenfield Village. The farm had been the boyhood home of Harvey Firestone, who later became a tire and rubber magnate and friend of Henry Ford. On June 29, 1985, descendants of Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone along with former U.S. President Gerald Ford helped dedicate the newly installed farm.

- Coffeepot Used on Henry Ford's "Vagabonds" Camping Trips, circa 1921 - Between 1916 and 1924, industrialists Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Harvey Firestone, and naturalist John Burroughs, took several camping trips together. These self-named "Vagabonds" camped in a style appropriate to wealthy gentlemen. Numerous support staff drove and maintained the vehicles, set up camp, started fires, did the cooking, made the coffee, and took photographs.

Kingsford helped manage Ford's extensive northern Michigan lumbering operations that supplied wood for Model T cars. Wood wastes from these operations were converted into charcoal. The popular Kingsford charcoal brand was named in Kingsford's honor.
