- Ford Rotunda Public Lounge after the Building Renovation, 1952-1953 - As part of its fiftieth anniversary celebration in 1953, Ford Motor Company refurbished the Rotunda--an exhibit area and hospitality center for Ford's Rouge factory tours. The company commissioned Cincinnati artist Charley Harper to design a mural honoring the Model T. Visitors could view the completed mural, titled <em>Transportation around the World</em>, in the Rotunda's public lounge.

As part of its fiftieth anniversary celebration in 1953, Ford Motor Company refurbished the Rotunda--an exhibit area and hospitality center for Ford's Rouge factory tours. - Juan Coronel Rivera, Grandson of Diego Rivera, Works on His "Day of the Dead" Exhibit in the Detroit Institute of Arts, 1991 - This photograph shows Juan Coronel Rivera installing an exhibit in the Detroit Institute of Art's Rivera Court -- named for his grandfather, Diego Rivera, who painted its famous murals. The exhibit celebrated Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. Flowers, candles, and small objects decorate the "graves" in the courtyard, recreating the look of cemeteries during the two-day holiday.
