- Edsel Ford and Henry Ford with Others on Trial Run of the Lake Ormoc, July 20, 1928 - Henry Ford established Fordlandia and Belterra in the Brazilian rainforest to supply rubber for automobile production. He began shipping machinery and supplies to the Amazon in 1928. Two ships, <em>Lake Ormoc</em> and <em>Lake Farge</em>, left Dearborn, Michigan, that July. Ford and other executives posed for this photograph on the <em>Lake Ormoc</em> to commemorate the start of the project.

- Product Catalogue of F. & J. Heinz Company, circa 1878 - After H.J. Heinz lost his first business to bankruptcy, he persuaded his brother and cousin to form the F. & J. Heinz Company in 1876 -- the precursor to the H.J. Heinz Company. Working with them, Heinz helped the company gain a reputation for high-quality pickled foods and condiments. This catalogue shows the many varieties of products the company offered in 1878.

- Unloading Bananas from Steamer, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1900-1910 - Bananas arrived on grocery store shelves via a transportation system controlled by competing fruit companies and their government allies. Refrigerated railcars moved the crop from Central American plantations to ships bound for U.S. ports in the Gulf of Mexico. This photograph shows dockworkers in New Orleans, Louisiana, transferring bunches of bananas -- each weighing around 86 pounds -- to a refrigerated railcar for transport to market.

- Painted Delivery Wagon, H. J. Heinz Company, London, England, circa 1900 - Henry J. Heinz rarely missed an opportunity to raise customer awareness for his line of packaged foods. His promotional schemes were innovative and often flamboyant. This brightly painted wagon, used for deliveries or sales calls, featured Heinz tomato products and some of the famous "57 Varieties". Paired with a handsome team of Heinz draft horses, this commercial vehicle doubled as a remarkable moving advertisement.
