- Letter from Clara Barrus to Mr. and Mrs. J. Edward B. Greene, January 2, 1914 - Dr. Clara Barrus was one of a small number of women who graduated from medical school in the late 19th century. In 1901, she began a close friendship with John Burroughs, the famous naturalist. Burroughs later named Barrus his literary executor and official biographer. Her correspondence covers a variety of subjects, including her relationship with Burroughs and her experiences setting up her own private sanatorium.

- Fred Harvey Restaurant Menu Featuring "Arrival of the Harvey Girls" by Doris Lee, 1947 - Doris Lee (1904-1983) painted scenes from everyday American life. Her interest in and collections of American folk art influenced her work. During the 1940s and 1950s, <em>Life</em> magazine sent Lee on several assignments and commissioned her to illustrate her travels. In 1945, she went to Hollywood. While there, MGM, too, hired Lee to create works around its film, <em>The Harvey Girls</em>.

Doris Lee (1904-1983) painted scenes from everyday American life. Her interest in and collections of American folk art influenced her work. During the 1940s and 1950s, Life magazine sent Lee on several assignments and commissioned her to illustrate her travels. In 1945, she went to Hollywood. While there, MGM, too, hired Lee to create works around its film, The Harvey Girls.

- Hollywood "Go" Game, 1954-1964 - The ancient game of "Go" originated in China. Parker Brothers produced this highly modified Hollywood version in the 1950s. Instead of capturing territory on the board as in the traditional game, players try to place five of their game pieces in a row. Others in the game attempt to do the same while simultaneously blocking those close to winning.
