- H. J. Heinz Memorial Statue Dedication, "A Golden Day," at Heinz Main Plant, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, October 11, 1924 - H.J. Heinz valued a strong relationship between his company and its employees. This resulted in a world-class employee welfare program which included amenities, programs, and policies with consideration for employees' well-being. In 1924, to commemorate the company's 55th anniversary, employees erected a memorial statue as a token of their gratitude for their employer. This is a program from the celebration, called "A Golden Day."

- Advertisement for Pope Manufacturing Company's Columbia Motor Carriage, 1898 - Albert Augustus Pope formed Pope Manufacturing Company in 1876. Two years later, it began producing bicycles. Pope kept up with the times, introducing electric automobiles in 1897 and motorcycles in 1902. When electric-car sales declined, so too did Pope's fortunes. The company filed for bankruptcy in 1915.

Motorized trucks began to replace horse-drawn dairy delivery wagons early in the 20th century. Larger trucks delivered milk and other dairy products to commercial users like grocery stores and restaurants.

It placed a refrigerant -- usually dry ice -- in a special compartment, while electric blowers controlled by a highly sensitive thermostat circulated cool air throughout the truck body. In a test run from Florida to New York, the Statotherm system kept a truck's interior at a near-constant 33 degrees Fahrenheit.
