- Vegetable Dish, 1869-1871 - The Boston Silver Glass Company was established in East Cambridge, Massachusetts, in about 1857. Starting in 1869, the company produced pressed glass tableware in its "beaded grape medallion" pattern. The inexpensive glassware came in various forms: plates, dishes, bowls, compotes, goblets, and pitchers, among others. The company operated until about 1871.

Barnes Store, 1882-1888 - Hiram Sibley and Co., reputedly the largest seed grower in the world, owned land in several states and foreign countries, operated test gardens to improve seed quality, and used illustrations of multistory seed-packing warehouses to impress customers. Employees packed boxes like this one with collections of seeds (described in company catalogs) and shipped them to home gardeners, farmers, and general stores owners alike.

There they could enjoy an excellent view from their high seat atop the vehicle while servants served them food and drinks from inside.
