The Henry Ford Announces Partnership with Access Program for Low-Income Families, Museums for All

SNAP/EBT and WIC cardholders receive $3 general admission

(Dearborn, MI – Feb. 9, 2022) – Today The Henry Ford announced it has joined Museums for All, a signature access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), and administered by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM), to encourage people of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum-going habits. Under the partnership, and effective immediately, SNAP/EBT and WIC cardholders, plus four guests, receive access to Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation and Greenfield Village for just $3 upon presenting their card at any ticketing counter. Museums for All is part of The Henry Ford’s broad commitment to seek, include, and welcome all audiences.

The Museums for All initiative was informed by several research studies that showed early access to the informal learning opportunities offered by cultural organizations lead to positive impact in children’s development and academic performance.

Since the launch of Museums for All in 2014, the initiative has served more than 3.5 million visitors. More than 700 institutions participate in the initiative, including art museums, children’s museums, science centers, botanical gardens, zoos, history museums, and more. Participating museums are located nationwide, representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.

In addition to the discounted price, the parking fee is also waived. For more information on The Henry Ford, its upcoming programs and more, visit www.thf.org or follow @thehenryford on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
