Educator Open House
September 26, 2015 (9am-5pm; Doors open at 8:30am)
Join us for our annual Educator Open House at The Henry Ford!
Educators receive FREE admission for you and one additional guest* to Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village. PLUS receive FREE admission to the IMAX Theatre and the Ford Rouge Factory Tour only when you attend one of our Must-Attend sessions!
Educator Must-Attend Sessions: 9am and 10am
During the open house you will have the opportunity to attend a Must-Attend session
(9:00am and 10:00am ONLY) and learn about:
  • Focus on Field Trips!
The Henry Ford staff and a guest teacher will speak about the value of field trips and integrating them into curriculum. They will share new resources that will help teachers plan and implement their field trips to The Henry Ford and available scholarships.

  • New this year!
We will raffle off overview opportunities which will help teachers plan their field trips: a highlight tour of the museum and free village train ride. 10 winners plus their guests will be chosen from each session.

Complimentary tickets to IMAX® films and the Ford Rouge Factory Tour will be available ONLY to those attending one of these Must-Attend educator sessions. IMAX® and Ford Rouge Factory Tour Tickets can be picked up at the Learn More Stations outside of Anderson Theater, but only when you have completed and turned in your session survey.
  • Also, come see clips from the Emmy-Award winning Innovation Nation in the Drive-In Theater in our car court. Attendees of these sessions will receive a free USB card* which will have clips from the show already loaded onto it.
    *While supplies last.

  • Please visit our ‘Learn More’ stations to receive information on contests, workshops, new attractions, FREE resources and much more!

  • Don't forget that it's also Fall Flavor Weekend and The Farmer's Market at The Henry Ford! Come celebrate the glories of traditional American food from farm to table, share in cooking demonstrations and visit a farmers market for the 21st century as we invite our favorite farmers and food suppliers to bring their remarkable wares to share.

As you leave the open house, please be sure to complete and turn in an evaluation survey for a chance to win FREE field trip admission for your class! (Must be a certified K-12 teacher with a classroom to win).
