Continuing Education Credits
All NEH teachers will receive a letter of completion detailing the workshop curriculum and instructional hours involved. State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs) will be pre-arranged for Michigan residents through Wayne County Regional Educational Services Agency and graduate credit will be available through the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
Graduate credits are available to teachers who complete additional work connected to their experience at The Henry Ford. These credits are available through University of Michigan – Dearborn.
The work can all be done remotely. The focus of the work is individualized in consultation with Martin Hershock, PhD, professor of History, Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences and Letters and scholar at the America’s Industrial Revolution at The Henry Ford workshop. His contact information will be provided at the workshop and upon request to email@example.com.
Teachers can register for anywhere between 1-3 credit hours (HIST 499 Independent Study), as a Guest student. As Guest students, Michigan residents pay current grad tuition rates and out of state students pay 80% of the difference between in-state and out-state tuition. Tuition/fee schedule can be found at:
Typically NEH participants enroll for the Fall semester, with registration closing in early September. The application for Guest admission can be found at: http://web-sis.umd.umich.edu/PROD/bwskalog.P_DispLoginNon.
