Saturday, December 9, 1:00 and 2:00 p.m.

A short and “suite” modern take on The Nutcracker. Performers from Dance Theatre Studio of Ann Arbor will perform three pieces from the classic Christmastime tale in the styles of musical theater, ballet and hip-hop in the Museum Plaza.
 
Saturday, December 9, Noon - 3:00 p.m.

Enjoy a variety of Christmas activities like candlemaking and ornament making, quantities permitting, outside of our Mathematica exhibit.
 
Sunday, December 10, Noon - 3:00 p.m.

Join the Jewish Historical Society of Michigan and Hazzan Daniel Gross of Adat Shalom Synagogue outside of our Mathematica exhibit for a family-friendly program on the history and culture of Hanukkah, told through music, stories and arts and crafts like candlemaking, quantities permitting.

Saturday, December 16, Noon - 3:00 p.m.

In recognition of the Winter Solstice, the Detroit Waldorf School will host a Spiral of Light program with special activities like candlemaking, quantities permitting. Please meet outside of our Mathematica exhibit.

Wednesday, December 27, Noon - 3:00 p.m.

Mama Jahra shares the principles of Kwanzaa through storytelling for all ages outside of our Mathematica exhibit. Enjoy the craft of candlemaking, quantities permitting.

Sunday, December 31, 10:00 a.m. - Noon

Join us for our Noon Year's Eve party in the Museum Plaza! Celebrate the end of the year with family-friendly crafts, activities and story time. Story time begins at 11:30 and ends with a bubble wrap stomp at noon to usher in 2024.
