Additional Event Information

Greenfield Village is spread over dozens of acres-- the location of the concert stage is in Walnut Grove (approximately 1/2 mile from the front gates of Greenfield Village). Comfortable clothing and comfortable walking shoes are a must. The concert will be held outdoors, rain or shine. Dressing for the weather is a must. Bring umbrellas / rain gear and prepare for a wide range of temperatures.

Lawn seating only. Seating will not be provided! We recommend you bring folding chairs or lawn blankets.

Wheelchairs can be rented, but must be rented in advance of the event-- please inquire when purchasing tickets, or call the call center at 313-982-6001 to make a reservation. You are welcome to bring your own wheelchair or scooter, however, upright scooters (Segways) are not allowed on premises. You are welcome to bring your own children's stroller or wagon, however, recreational scooters, bicycles or in-line/in-sole skates are not allowed inside the Village gates.

Bring a camera; photography is allowed in all areas of the Village.

Please do not bring alcoholic beverages; outside alcohol is not permitted. All packages will be searched for alcohol at the Village gates. Beer and wine are available for purchase inside Greenfield Village.

Salute to America Cancellation Policy

Rarely, a performance may be canceled due to severe weather / ground conditions (lightning, flooding, or other un-safe circumstances). In the case of a cancellation, exchanges will not be possible due to limited capacities for each performance. Refunds will not be issued, but you will be given a choice of the following items when you show a ticket stub for the canceled performance.

Customers holding ticket stubs may redeem them for one of the following options as follows:

Salute to America ticket may be redeemed at the DSO Box Office for one free ticket (equal or lesser value) to select Classical, Pops, Jazz or Young People’s Family concerts from October 14, 2016, through December 11, 2016. All concerts are subject to availability, and seating is at the discretion of the DSO Box Office. Restrictions may apply.

Redeem original Salute to America ticket stub for a combination admission for any two venues.
