In this month's featured book, we honor the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding as author Ann Diament Koffsky and illustrator N. Tarcan take you on a poetic journey following the biography of the woman who wrote the now-famous poem seen on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty.
Tinkering for Tots | Celebrate Women's History
Tuesday, March 10, from 10 a.m.-noon in the Drive-In Studio near Driven to Win
This month's hands-on program designed for preschool-aged children will teach women's history through storytelling, play, and artifact exploration, showing little learners how questioning the world around them can inspire change. This program is powered by The Henry Ford's inHub.
Victoria Christopher Murray Author Talk, Harlem Rhapsody
Saturday, March 28, at 1 p.m. in Anderson Theater
This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Seats are limited.
Join us for an inspiring conversation with New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Victoria Christopher Murray. Victoria will discuss her newest work of historical fiction, Harlem Rhapsody (2025), a powerful novel that brings to life the people, ideas and cultural momentum that shaped one of the most influential movements in American history — the Harlem Renaissance.
The program will conclude with a Q&A session and book signing. Copies of Harlem Rhapsody will be available for purchase.

Join us to learn more about the Dr. Sullivan and Mrs. Richie Jean Sherrod Jackson Home, opening in Greenfield Village this June. Featuring the work of Mrs. Richie Jean Sherrod Jackson and Jawana Jackson, hear from curators, collections experts and a librarian of genealogy to learn how everyday Americans contribute to "doing history" by preserving, sharing and honoring their family legacies — just as the Jackson family did in Selma, Alabama. This event is free to the public. Registration is required.

Paula Murphy: Undaunted is a tribute to legendary Studebaker driver Paula Murphy, known for her record-setting speed runs at the Bonneville Salt Flats and her journey to becoming "Miss STP," despite challenges and stereotypes she faced.

Meet the Women Ordnance Worker (WOW!) Honor Rosies

Meet the WOW Rosies of the American Rosie the Riveter Association. Representing the Eastern Michigan chapter, this group of tribute Rosies will connect with guests and through stories and artifacts, educate about the many unique and important roles women filled during World War II.

In honor of Rosie the Riveter Day, the WOW Rosies of the American Rosie the Riveter Association will return to meet with guests.
This experience is part of The Henry Ford’s commemoration of the country’s 250th anniversary. Throughout 2026, you’ll find special programming, new exhibitions and exciting events across our 250-acre campus that spotlight the history of the United States. This yearlong series explores how creativity and ingenuity have sparked change across centuries of American life, and how they continue to shape the future we all share. From revolutionary inventions to grassroots movements, stories of transformation will unfold across Greenfield Village, Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, Giant Screen Experience and Ford Rouge Factory Tour.
