This year marks the 75th anniversary of Old Car Festival, The Henry Ford will celebrate this extraordinary milestone by honoring the people, traditions, and motor vehicles that have defined this special event for three-quarters of a century. Guests can walk through the village meeting owners who have passionately preserved their vehicles while listening to the distinctive sounds of century-old cars. The experience includes the Pass-in-Review Car Parade and an awards showcase featuring the best restored and unrestored cars, immersive historic vignettes, special demonstrations and more.
The antique car show brings Ragtime America and the Jazz Age to life with two days of historically-inspired street food, music, dancing and activities. Stay late Saturday evening for the Gaslight Parade of Cars, dancing with the River Raisin Ragtime Revue, and a Dixieland-style procession. This weekend is your chance to become immersed in the moving stories of the early automotive era, a true automobile lover's dream, as electric-, steam- and gas-powered engines are constantly in motion around you.
Old Car Festival will be open on Saturday, September 12, until 9 p.m., and operate on regular Greenfield Village hours on Sunday, September 13. This special event is free for members and included with Village admission. For more information, visit thf.org.
