Dealers sold Ford vehicles, offered repair services, and stocked spare parts and automobile accessories. By the 1930s, many dealerships had spacious showrooms where customers could inspect the latest models. Advertisements and vehicle literature were available and a helpful salesman was always nearby.

- Ford Auto Heater Advertising Display for Dealerships, June 1939 - Ford Motor Company promised year-round "summer comfort in your car" for drivers who purchased one of its two available heaters. The hot water unit circulated water from the engine's radiator, while the hot air unit used heat from the engine's exhaust manifold. Either heater was an extra-cost option priced at $18.75 for the 1939 model year.
