- Book, "Farm Electrical Equipment Handbook," 1950 - The electrification of rural areas transformed work on the farm. Farmers were familiar with human, animal and mechanical power, but electrically powered equipment was completely new to them. This book, cooperatively produced between the Agricultural Engineering Department at Michigan State College (now MSU) and several electric companies, describes how to use electrically powered equipment in all areas of the farm.

- "Historic Summit Inn Resort," 2010 - Between 1916 and 1924, industrialists Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Harvey Firestone, and naturalist John Burroughs, took several camping trips together. Today, travelers can retrace the steps of these self-named "Vagabonds," including staying at the Summit Inn, where the campers dined and stopped for the night in both 1918 (due to needed car repairs) and 1921 (due to heavy rains).
