In 1997 she drove the #90 Infiniti-powered Dallara for Hemelgarn Racing. St. James qualified with a speed of 210.145 mph. During the race, accident damage to her suspension ended St. James's run after 186 laps, but she still earned a 13th-place finish.

- Doors from the Gasoline Alley Pit Garages at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway - From near the time of Indianapolis Motor Speedway's opening in 1909 and through 1985, cars and crews were housed in two long wooden structures with 88 individual garage bays. The white-and-green buildings were landmarks at Indy's Gasoline Alley. These doors from those garages were souvenirs kept by Dan Gurney, who competed nine times in the Indianapolis 500 as a driver.

From near the time of Indianapolis Motor Speedway's opening in 1909 and through 1985, cars and crews were housed in two long wooden structures with 88 individual garage bays. The white-and-green buildings were landmarks at Indy's Gasoline Alley. These doors from those garages were souvenirs kept by Dan Gurney, who competed nine times in the Indianapolis 500 as a driver.
