Company president Edsel Ford headed the program. The State of Louisiana certified Mr. Ford as a driving instructor, qualified to teach using the American Automobile Association's <em>Sportsmanlike Driving</em> textbook and curriculum. The Good Drivers League ended after America's entry into World War II.
