- Advertising Poster, Expo '74 World's Fair Postage Stamps, "Celebrating Tomorrow's Fresh New Environment," 1974 - In preparation to host the 1974 World's Fair, the city of Spokane, Washington, reclaimed 100 acres of commercial and industrial land along its riverfront. Colorful counter-culture artwork by Peter Max, commissioned by the U.S. Postal service in honor of Expo '74, complemented Spokane's bold vision for its "fresh new environment."
