Dressmaking Scissors, Used by Angela Diblasi, 1940-1960
- Tin Snips, circa 1986 - Mike and Larry Alexander, commonly called the "A Brothers," were Detroit's standout car customizers of the 1950s and '60s. By 1969 the brothers decided to focus on other automotive pursuits--though customizing was never far from their thoughts or hearts. This pair of tin snips dating from the 1980s was among Mike's customizing tools.

Advertisers, armed with new methods of color printing, bombarded potential customers with trade cards. Americans enjoyed and often saved the vibrant little advertisements found in product packages or distributed by local merchants. Many survive as historical records of commercialism in the United States.
