- Article from September 1913 Ford Times, "Ford Barber Does Rushing Business" - With a few modifications, Model T owners could turn an automobile into a stationary power plant. A drive belt attached to the Ford's rear axle could run machinery for any number of tasks, from milling grain to sawing lumber. In this unusual example, an Australian horse groomer rigged a Model T to power mechanized clippers.

- Employees Using Electric Brushes to Groom a Horse, H. J. Heinz Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, circa 1905 - Before the 1920s, the H.J. Heinz Company transported their goods by rail and by horse-drawn wagons. The main factory in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, had top-of-the-line stables, sometimes referred to as "equine palaces," where the horses received only the best feed and care. In this photograph, employees are grooming a horse with an electric brush system.
