- X-Ray Light Apparatus - Wilhelm Roentgen's discovery of X-rays in 1895 led to an explosion of inventions that utilized electromagnetic radiation. These machines were used for a variety of purposes, from medical diagnosis to novelty photographs. Philadelphia-based engineers Charles H. Richardson and Ferdinand F. Metzger, who primarily created medical and scientific instruments, manufactured this X-ray light apparatus.

- Automobile Club of Michigan "Trip-Pak" Travel Kit, 1948-1955 - The Automobile Club of Michigan provided this travel kit for its members. The "trip-pak" contained essentials for travelers, shaving lotion and razors, hair and eye care material, stomach pain relief medicines, and No Doz to keep drivers awake. All were neatly boxed for easy packing.

- Orsat Tester Used to Test Flue Gases, circa 1935 - Developed by Louis Orsat in the late 1800s, Orsat testers measured carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, and oxygen gases during combustion. They were often used to monitor fuel efficiency in factory fuel boilers -- inefficient combustion meant higher costs! Orsat testers, like this one from the 1930s, were eventually replaced by modern gas analyzers with digital readouts.
