- Swingles' Colonial Diner Menu, circa 1963 - This item comes from the collection of Richard J. S. Gutman, the leading expert on American diners, which was amassed in the course of a thesis, four books, numerous articles, major exhibitions, restorations, and other consulting projects. Joseph Swingle, who opened this diner in Middlesex, New Jersey, in 1953, had been a salesman for Jerry O'Mahony, a major diner manufacturer.

Customers interested in exotic canned and bottled foods, hard-to-find teas and coffees, and all manner of imported meats and cheeses would have frequented a store like this. A. Rensch & Co. also sold gift boxes.
- Recipe Booklet, ""Philly" Dip Party Handbook," 1960 - After adding more cream while making Neufchatel cheese (a creamy white cheese from France) New York dairy farmer William Lawrence discovered cream cheese and became the first to manufacture it in 1872. In 1880, the product was branded as Philadelphia Cream Cheese and its popularity prompted many creative uses over time. This booklet from 1960 includes recipes for using cream cheese in party dips.
