- Willys Automobile Concept, Front View, November 13, 1944 - A pioneer of industrial design, Walter Dorwin Teague is best remembered for his work for the Eastman Kodak Company and the 1933 Chicago and 1939 New York World's Fairs. He worked for Sundberg-Ferar and Chrysler at various points, but Gierschick spent the bulk of his career at General Motors. He was Assistant Chief Designer for GM from 1961 to 1985. Gierschick retired from GM after 25 years of service to the company.

The brochures contained paint samples of available exterior finishes, and fabric samples of cloth, vinyl and leather interior upholsteries. Options presented in early-release advanced guides were always subject to change.

The concept car boasted push-button transmission controls, a 300-horsepower V-8 engine, and a double-dome canopy roof. Hollywood customizer George Barris bought the Futura in 1959 and, a few years later, turned it into the Batmobile for the 1966-1968 <em>Batman</em> television series.

The concept car boasted push-button transmission controls, a 300-horsepower V-8 engine, and a double-dome canopy roof. Hollywood customizer George Barris bought the Futura in 1959 and, a few years later, turned it into the Batmobile for the 1966-1968 Batman television series.
- Proposed Four-Joint Drive Line System, Studebaker-Packard Corporation 57th Series Product Program, 1951-1956 - Studebaker and Packard merged in 1954, hoping to solve financial problems at both companies. The new corporation marketed its cars as two distinct brands until 1958, though by 1957 Packard cars were essentially rebadged Studebakers. This photo shows work on the 57th series -- continuing Packard's tradition of series designations rather than model years.

- Clay Model for the 1956 Chrysler Falcon Concept Car Designed by Virgil M. Exner - Virgil Exner designed the two-seat Chrysler Falcon concept car for the 1955 auto show season. The roadster was close in spirit to the contemporary Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Thunderbird, though the simulated knock-off wheels and external exhaust pipes gave the Falcon a somewhat racier appearance. Chrysler chose not to put the car into production.
