- Smothers Brothers Racing Team's Porsche 906E at the 1969 12 Hours of Sebring - Dick Smothers, one half of the musical comedy duo the Smothers Brothers, enjoyed competing in amateur car races. Starting in 1967, he drove in numerous road racing and drag racing events for a period of about ten years. Smothers merged his love of racing with his comedy career when he appeared, alongside brother Tommy, in the 1989 movie <em>Speed Zone</em>.

Dick Smothers, one half of the musical comedy duo the Smothers Brothers, enjoyed competing in amateur car races. Starting in 1967, he drove in numerous road racing and drag racing events for a period of about ten years.
