- Henry Ford and Ford Motor Company Branch Managers Meet at Detroit Boat Club, September 17, 1908 - Ford Motor Company distributed its vehicles around the country -- ultimately around the world -- through a network of branch houses in major cities. These branches, in turn, supplied vehicles to dealers. This allowed Ford to maintain consistent prices and service everywhere. Ford hosted its branch managers at regular meetings in Detroit, where they were updated on the company's latest activities.
