- 1989 Edison-Ford Medal Award Presentation to W. Edwards Deming - In 1989, management specialist W. Edwards Deming (left) received the first-ever Edison-Ford Medal in recognition of his lifelong contribution to the spirit of American ingenuity, innovation and enterprise.
