- John Burroughs, Henry Ford, and Others on the Grounds of Fair Lane, Dearborn, Michigan, 1916 - In 1916, Henry Ford invited his friend John Burroughs to Fair Lane, Ford's Dearborn, Michigan, home. Burroughs came to help lay a cornerstone for the estate's "Burroughs Grotto." This wildlife shrine would contain stones from New York (Burroughs's home state), a heated bird bath, and a statue of the famed nature writer.

In 1916, Henry Ford invited his friend John Burroughs to Fair Lane, Ford's Dearborn, Michigan, home. Burroughs came to help lay a cornerstone for the estate's "Burroughs Grotto." This wildlife shrine would contain stones from New York (Burroughs's home state), a heated bird bath, and a statue of the famed nature writer.
- Henry Ford with Eva and George Brubaker aboard the Yacht "Sialia," 1917 - Henry Ford purchased the yacht <em>Sialia</em> in 1917. Intended as private transportation during trips to investigate possible industrial supply sources, <em>Sialia</em> also carried the Fords and their guests on family excursions. Less than a month after he purchased it Ford headed off to Cuba. Guests on this voyage included Clara's sister Eva and her husband George Brubaker.

Henry Ford purchased the yacht Sialia in 1917. Intended as private transportation during trips to investigate possible industrial supply sources, Sialia also carried the Fords and their guests on family excursions. Less than a month after he purchased it Ford headed off to Cuba. Guests on this voyage included Clara's sister Eva and her husband George Brubaker.
