A promising singer as a child, Carson received formal training in New York before studying abroad. She made her operatic debut in Italy in 1912. During the 1910s, Carson also recorded popular songs for Thomas Edison's Blue Amberol and Diamond Disc labels. Carson passed away in 1951.
