- Racing Helmet Worn by Rudolf Caracciola, 1939 - Rudolf Caracciola, a native of Remagen, Germany, was a three-time winner of the European Drivers' Championship and a three-time winner of the European Hillclimbing Championship. Caracciola wore this helmet during the 1939 Grand Prix season in which he finished third overall -- though an official winner was never declared due to the outbreak of World War II.
