From 1948 until 1959, Intermediate scouts (ages 10 to 13) could make or purchase practical green dresses with pockets, buttoned collars--to secure the signature Girl Scout neckerchief--and pleated backs for greater mobility. This uniform was worn by a Chicago Girl Scout in the mid-1950s.
