Its clubhouse, seen in this photograph, was designed by Boston architect Guy Lowell and dedicated on Independence Day in 1929. Edsel and Eleanor Ford were active members of the club. The clubhouse still stands and is located on Lake St. Clair about 12 miles northeast of Detroit, Michigan.
