- Grand Wizard Theodore, February 1996 - B+ (Brian Cross) is an Irish-born, LA-based photographer and filmmaker. Since the 1990s, he has chronicled hip hop, rap, jazz, cumbia, and reggae music scenes. A visual cartographer of sound culture, B+ captures moments of contemplation and inspiration within creative lives. Here, Grand Wizard Theodore's hands are documented as originators for the technique of record scratching in early hip hop.

- Circus Poster, Barnum & Bailey Present "Hosts of Fearless Lady Jockeys," circa 1895 - In the late nineteenth century, printers developed a lithograph method that produced brightly colored posters. In advance of a circus coming to town, general agents glued these eye-catching generic posters to building walls, fences, and in window displays. To announce when and where the performances would happen, local printers sometimes provided letterpress paper date strips to paste onto the posters' lower margin.
