- "Muster-In Roll," 7th Volunteer Michigan Cavalry, January 23, 1863 - This "Muster-in Roll" from 1863 contains the names of soldiers and officers who enlisted in the 7th Volunteer Michigan Cavalry. This unit along with several other Cavalry units made up the Michigan Cavalry Brigade -- also known as the Wolverine Brigade. Michigan-born George A. Custer took command of the brigade a few days before the battle of Gettysburg.

This "Muster-in Roll" from 1863 contains the names of soldiers and officers who enlisted in the 7th Volunteer Michigan Cavalry. This unit along with several other Cavalry units made up the Michigan Cavalry Brigade -- also known as the Wolverine Brigade. Michigan-born George A. Custer took command of the brigade a few days before the battle of Gettysburg.
