- Pendant Necklace made from Expo '74 Concessions Token, 1974 - World's fairs -- traditionally focused on futuristic themes -- came down to earth with Expo '74. "Preserve the Environment" was the theme. Held in Spokane, Washington, along the city's transformed riverfront, the fair attracted over five million visitors. The fair's logo representing air, water and land (among other meanings) could be found on a variety of promotional and souvenir items.

- Peace Symbol Pendant Necklace, Worn by Kathy Duquette, 1970-1975 - The "peace sign" was first designed in 1958 as part of the British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. By the late 1960s and 1970s, the symbol -- shown on this necklace -- came to mean that the wearer was an opponent of the Vietnam War. Ultimately, the peace sign came to represent opposition to war in general.
