- Autocall Office Pager, circa 1910 - This early Autocall control unit was used to signal the offices of engineers working in the Dorr-Patterson Engineering Company. Using telegraphy technology and a spring-driven clockwork drive, it could trigger ten custom bell call patterns. The Autocall Company, founded in 1908, continued to develop fire alarms, burglar alarms, and electrical annunciators until the mid-1990s.
