- Panoramic View of Seal Harbor, Maine, 1927 - In 1922, Edsel Ford purchased property in Seal Harbor, Maine, and began building his family's summer home. Philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, Jr., a fellow resident of the area, wrote congratulating Edsel on his selection -- the property offered the Fords splendid scenic views of the Maine coast. The letter initiated a friendship between the two that led to partnerships on various charitable causes.

- Ford 35 Year Banquet, Dearborn Inn, December 19, 1946 - Ford Motor Company honored employees with 35 years of service at a banquet at the Dearborn Inn in December 1946. Seated near the podium were Clara Ford, Henry Ford, Henry Ford II, Anne McDonnell Ford, and Eleanor Clay Ford. The event marked one of the last public appearances by the elder Henry Ford before his death in April 1947.

- Fields Cleared of Trees, Fordlandia, Brazil, 1934 - Henry Ford established Fordlandia and Belterra in the Brazilian rainforest to supply rubber for automobile production. He began shipping machinery and supplies to the Amazon in 1928. Ford paid the indigenous workers good wages and supplied various amenities -- he also imposed foreign work traditions and behavioral restrictions which the workers resented. The plantations failed and Ford Motor Company disposed of the project in 1945.
