Roberts Independence Missouri, good for ten cents Recivable for Stage (Coach) Fare & other Dues - The Santa Fe Trail, an 800-mile commercial trade route between Missouri and Santa Fe since 1821, experienced its height of overland traffic after New Mexico became part of the United States in 1848. Stagecoach operators competed fiercely for passenger traffic and federal mail contracts, including Preston Roberts, who operated a weekly mail and passenger line during the early 1860s.

The event also served as the official dedication of The Edison Institute, Ford's museum complex named in honor of his friend. Automobiles used to transport special guests during the day's events had a window sticker such as this one placed on their windshields.

- Visitor Pass to Lincoln Motor Co. Plants, Issued to Henry Ford, July 1918 - Lincoln Motor Company issued this visitor pass to Henry Ford in 1918. It provided him with access to all Lincoln plants at all hours. Four years later, Henry Ford no longer needed a "visitor" pass. His Ford Motor Company purchased Lincoln in 1922, when Lincoln was struggling from the post-World War I recession.

Lincoln Motor Company issued this visitor pass to Henry Ford in 1918. It provided him with access to all Lincoln plants at all hours. Four years later, Henry Ford no longer needed a "visitor" pass. His Ford Motor Company purchased Lincoln in 1922, when Lincoln was struggling from the post-World War I recession.
