Political Satire Poster, "Sleep Tonight...Your National Guard is Awake," circa 1971
- Record Album, "The First Family," 1962 - This 1962 record album poked good-natured fun at President John F. Kennedy. Vaughn Meader, a Kennedy impersonator, lampooned the President and parodied his <em>PT-109</em> history, the Kennedys' well-known athleticism, and Jackie Kennedy's redecoration of the White House. The album won a Grammy Award and seven million copies were sold. Sales plummeted after Kennedy's assassination as the nation went into mourning.

The 2000 presidential election between George W. Bush and Al Gore was one of the most contentious in U.S. history. When Gore contested the highly controversial election results in Florida that gave Bush the victory, Bush supporters produced these signs mocking Gore and vice presidential candidate, Senator Joseph Lieberman.

The aristocratic-looking Van Buren appears to enjoy "White House champagne," but when the tab is pulled he cannot handle "log cabin hard cider"-- a drink associated with his opponent William Henry Harrison and the common man. The Whigs' portrayal of the incumbent as snobbish and uncaring helped elect Harrison.
