- Reenacting a "Vagabonds" Camping Trip for a Motion Picture, 1940 - Between 1916 and 1924, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and John Burroughs embarked on a series of camping trips. They called themselves the Vagabonds and enjoyed retreating from the fast-paced world to explore nature. Years later, Henry Ford recreated the trips on the grounds of Greenfield Village in memory of his friends and of all the good times they had together.

Between 1916 and 1924, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone, and John Burroughs embarked on a series of camping trips. They called themselves the Vagabonds and enjoyed retreating from the fast-paced world to explore nature. Years later, Henry Ford recreated the trips on the grounds of Greenfield Village in memory of his friends and of all the good times they had together.
