- 1961 Lincoln Continental Presidential Limousine Interior after "Quick Fix," 1964 - After President John F. Kennedy's assassination on November 22, 1963, the Hess & Eisenhardt Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, rebuilt the 1961 Lincoln Continental Presidential Limousine into an armored car. The limousine received a permanent roof with bullet resistant windows, and the interior was trimmed with new upholstery and carpet. The swift rebuild was finished in less than five months.

Badge for the 1906 Minneapolis National Encampment - The Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.), a Union veterans' organization formed in 1866, held state and national conventions or "encampments" where members could reunite with other Civil War veterans. Encampment attendees--sporting badges and other insignia--paraded through town, gathered at receptions, toured local attractions, and reminisced about shared wartime experiences. The G.A.R. sponsored these meetings for more than 80 years.
