The fair also provided the opportunity for companies across the country to advertise to millions of people. Westinghouse Electric Corporation, a major exhibitor at the exposition, distributed these souvenir ribbons to fairgoers.

Robertson to Henry Ford for the Invitation to Light's Golden Jubilee, October 24, 1929 - On October 21, 1929, Henry Ford hosted Light's Golden Jubilee, an event that celebrated the 50th anniversary of Thomas Edison's invention of the incandescent lamp. A. W. Robertson, chairman at Westinghouse, was among the guests. In this letter, Robertson thanked Ford for the courtesies received during the visit and promised to bring his children to spend a day to look over Ford's Greenfield Village.
